Course Overview
The 5-day CITB SMSTS Training course is designed for individuals who are moving into management. SMSTS certificates remain valid for five years from the date of issue.
By completing the SMSTS Refresher course, delegates receive updates on construction legislation and best practices, while strengthening managerial skills to meet modern legal responsibilities.
Important Information
- Expired certificates require completion of the full SMSTS course
- CITB e-certificates are issued within 2–3 weeks
- Attendance on both days is mandatory

Assessment
The final assessment consists of 25 questions:
- 18 multiple-choice questions (1 mark each)
- 7 short-answer questions (2 marks each)
- Pass mark: 81% (26 out of 32)
Accreditation
This course is accredited by CITB – Construction Industry Training Board under the Site Safety Plus scheme.
